Welcome to Pat's Studio

Pat's drawing table

Pat has been creating art since she could hold a crayon. She delights in teaching and the energy of the classroom but also finds the challenge of the her studio to be equally appealing. Her ponies and the ever-changing seasons of the farm provide her with constant inspiration. While horses and ponies are a common subject, Pat also works in a wide variety of imagery. In early 2011, she began experimenting with small figures created from natural materials, scraps of fabric, beads, and thread. These figures evoke enigmatic echoes of forgotten peoples, rituals, and relics. They demand a quieter, closer interaction in a world that moves at the speed of the Internet!

Pat is represented by the Freed Gallery in Lincoln City, OR as well as the Native Arts Gallery in Sequim, WA. She is an associate member of the River Gallery in Independence, OR. Her work can be seen at:

Greek Horse

In March 2010, Pat was the Featured Artist at the River Gallery. Her show was inspired by the Hawaiian floral quilt patterns and their corresponding flowers. She teamed these images with Hawaiian birds such that each canvas became part of a larger pattern, in the same way each block of a quilt added to the overall composition.
